Rosettes are award to everyone who completes the training course and also a sash for "champion puppy" will be awarded on week 4. This is judged and awarded by Rachel and is just for fun!
Puppy class outline- up to 6 months
Week 1
Intro to novelty / body language
Toy play / watch me exercise
Mat work
Recall – step back, call, catch and reward
Sit and down
Swapping / relaxed chewing to end
Week 2
Mat work - luring down
Hand touch
Loose lead position – 3 DS
Toy play – ‘drop’
Recall –treat the feet
Calm handling – consent test / body language
Watch me with a distraction
Sit and stand
Week 3
Mat work – luring down, transitioning to hand signal
Loose lead plus walking
Sit, stand
Recall in middle one at time past a distraction
Brushing, towel drying, spoon, nail clippers, recap body language
Not jumping up – say hello, treat at feet
Wait – ‘ok go’
Leave it – food in hand
Week 4
Lured down on mat – transition to hand cue - maintaining settle.
Hand touch on and off platform
Intro to vet collar – luring or hand touch
Loose lead 2 at a time in middle or weaving between cones
Sit, stand - prolong the stand
Temptation alley recall or recall from other pups outside of paddock
Meet in the middle greetings
Wait - find it treats under cups
Fetch

Leave it food in your hand
Week 3
Mat work – luring down, stepping away, seeing if get back on and offer a down
Loose lead walking past each other
Sit, stand
Recall in middle one at time past a distraction
Not jumping up – say hello, treat at feet
Wait – ‘ok go’
Leave it away from cone
Week 4
Mat work - Lured down on mat – transition to hand cue - maintaining settle.

Loose lead past distraction introducing ‘leave it’ cue
